Purpose Formula

Happy Monday!

Prior to the many changes that our world continues to face on a daily basis; we began holding LIVE and a "Virtual Book Club".   A separate blog post will be forthcoming; going over Chapters 3 and 4 of the book.  Until then, please find items from our beginning discussions as stated below. May you continue to thrive wherever you are!

One of the points discussed and requested is the Life Purpose Formula found in Chapter 1 of "Chronically Well".  Do note that there are a variety of ways, methods and purpose formulas offered by Career / Life Coaches.  The below is my personal adjusted process based upon years of discussion and self discovery.

1.  First ask yourself, what drives your heart? Where is your heart connection? What drives your joy?

2.  What do you see as an injustice? What would you like to change or what has been a source of pain for you? Do not be afraid to truly experience your pain and triumphs.  Some people don't like to address pain because it brings up something that they have to process. But please know, it is worth working through - if I hadn't addressed my pain, I wouldn't be here today, assisting others.

3.  Identify what sets you apart from another.  What comes naturally to you?  What are your unique talents and gifts?

4.  Now think of the others around you that you would like to connect with and impact.  Know your target audience.  Who do you desire to help? Are you interested in assisting children, the impoverished, the disabled, those in prison, abused women, etc?

Now that you have identified who you are, what you want or are passionate about / called to do, take steps 1 and 3 to assist those you are assigned to in this life (step 4) overcome or conquer step 2.

We each hold a life purpose, a calling to fulfill.  The vehicle to fulfill that purpose will change as do the seasons in our life.

My dear reader, I want you to know that you aren't alone - chronic is all around us. Everyone has something that's chronic in their life, it's not just limited to illness.  It can go deeper than just the physical and can include mental, emotional and spiritual wounds which unfortunately affects the physical as well.

Whether you experience chronic illness, chronic judgment, chronic anger, chronic hate in your heart, chronic adultery, chronic drinking or chronic lying, just to name a few you CAN change your course.
